Nila Madhava and Mandy’s Wedding

My son, Nila Madhava, got married recently. On the 27 of September to be exact.

I wasn’t able to be there due to some unexpected circumstances, but fortunately, there are photos and videos.

I’m so thrilled that my son found such a wonderful person as Mandy is to marry. They make a perfect couple, and I’m so happy for them, and about their wedding, so I wanted to share it with all of you.

These videos go from 0-4 and they in order of events that way. They are all very short clips, but you can still get an idea of things.

Since it’s very hard to see much in the videos, I’ve also included a link here to some photos, for anyone who wants to see them.

These photos were taken by my daughter, Anasuya, she’s the one in the pink sari in the videos.

I know there are a lot of photos here, too many for everyone here, but there is no way to take out only few from this album.

Fortunately for me there is also a video of the entire wedding in DVD form, though I haven’t seen it yet.

My thanks to Purusha das for taking these video clips and posting them on youtube, and of course, my thanks to Anasuya for taking the great photos!

Hope you all enjoy seeing these.

Families

Dear Krishna Priya,

I’m so glad you felt as if you knew everyone here. That really made me smile.

Really, you do. We are all part of the same “family”… the family of devotees of Krishna. So, it’s not surprising you felt as if you know everyone.

That’s such a wonderful thing, and I am so happy to hear you say that. We are all linked together, we are a family.

I was also really happy to hear what you said about finding out that these Vedic weddings take place outside of India.

That’s to Srila Prabhupad, they take place all over the world now.

: )

Thank you for you nice comments.

Hare Krishna,
Navasi

Nice pics

Hare Krishna!
The pics are awesome. I would have been more happy to see you. But you have already mentioned that you were not attending the ceremony. everyone must have really missed you so much.

MIA

Thank you Snehal,

Yeah, I would have been ‘more happy to see me’ there too! lol

But, it just wasn’t possible. I was really sad, but you know, we were talking about the ways Krishna arranges things and how we have to accept pain as well as happiness. : ) (it hurt me not to be able to be there).

Nila and Mandy are really wonderful devotees, and I talked to Nila about it a lot and he told me that the geographic location of my body was not what mattered.

He said he totally understood, things happen, and just “be with us in spirit” which is what we did.

It’s so different with devotees, they realize that these are ceremonies and physical presence, while nice, is not the only important thing.

Beautiful

I think Indian weddings are so fantastic – gorgeous and interesting. Your son looked very handsome and his wife is very beautiful. Everyone looked very relaxed and happy, and the whole thing just looked like a fairy tale.

I did look at all the photos. I like photos albums, all the details and the story they tell. Your daughter did a wonderful job!

Congratulations! Maybe grand kids will be on the way soon…:)

Thank You

Thank you, Lisa, for your kind words about their wedding.

I’m sure everyone was really happy. I know for sure Nila and Mandy were, and are!

My daughter loves to take photographs, I think she’s very talented at it also. I thought she did a really excellent job with those too.

I’m glad you liked looking at them.

Ah, sigh… grand kids…. hmmm, don’t know if Krishna has any in mind for me…. but that’s okay.

: )

Hare Krishna,
Navasi
