I had a dream last night…it was very clear. I was with my godbrothers and we were sitting in a circle talking about the importance of Japa. I spoke up and recalled what I had heard in a Japa retreat with Bhurijana dasa – he told us that we should raise our standard of Japa so that when we chant, we can remember that this is for the pleasure of Krsna and not just for our own purification.

We have a default setting with our chanting and this dream reminded me that we should always be striving to raise the bar or default level of our Japa so we can come to stage of chanting with devotion for Krsna’s pleasure.
