Six-Hour Kirtan just off Fleet Street, London

The courtyard of St Bride’s church, just off Fleet Street in London, was the spot for six hours of kirtan on October 13th. Just a stone’s throw from St Paul’s Cathedral and that round Knight’s Templar church featured in the Da Vinci Code, this area is ancient. A temple to Diana, goddess of hunting, was once here, too.

Around 200 took part in the six-hour ‘challenge’ and the bulk of them stayed right until the end. Yogis, every one of them.

Eight kirtan groups took part and provided the kirtaneers with a variety of musical flavours.
