The Paralympics in London is producing some astonishing displays of physical prowess, some of them in sports we never knew existed. Wheelchair rugby, for instance – a game even rougher than its able-bodied counterpart. Blind Judo? Who would have thought that even possible? And the swimmer Ellie Simmonds (above) has demonstrated her amazing speed in the water, despite being affected by dwarfism.
