Disappearance of Narottama Dasa Thakura




Narottama dasa Thakura was a leading acharya (teacher) in the Gaudiya Vaishnava line. He was the only disciple of Srila Lokanatha Goswami. Srila Narottama Dasa Thakura helped bring the books of the Goswamis from Vrindavana to Bengal and Orissa. In Kheturi gram, Bengal, he inaugurated the first Gaura Purnima festival after the disappearance of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. He is most famous for his Prarthana, a composition of thirty-three Bengali songs.
